Set within a sheltered bay, Achladies beach has plenty to offer. No matter what type of beach break you’re hoping for, you’ll find it here. The waters are clear blue and shallow, making them ideal for young children. It is one of the quieter beaches on the island offering a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. It is situated on the south coast not too far from Skiathos town. There are plenty of bus links nearby which provide easy access into the town if you aren’t renting a car. A boat taxi to the town is also available on the beach. There are water sports available such as water skiing and jetskiing. If you’re looking for the quietest part of the beach, head to the eastern side.
Behind the Achladies beach you’ll discover a few great taverns offering a good selection of fresh fish and Greek dishes. On the nearby road there are also more taverns to choose from, as well as a few great restaurants. Other facilities nearby include a bakery and mini-markets. The area is actually dominated by the hotel and it doesn’t have much parking available. You can hire sun beds if you want to relax and read a good book or just laze in the hot sun.
