I haven't bothered to read this forum for several months cause I was fed up with all the negative comments.
Yes I accept that Skiathos is expensive probably far more expensive than other Greek Islands but we just love it and that's why we will be returning year after year. Our next visit is end May 06 and can't wait.
We went to Menorca in August and whilst I wouldn't say we hated it, we will not be returning - just wasn't the same (and certainly wasn't any cheaper).
To anyone thinking of Skiathos, I say go for it, take plenty of spending money and enjoy!
