How is Christmas celebrated on my favourite island? Are there any special foods that are prepared? Is there a Greek equivalent of Father Christmas/Santa Claus? Is there a special Greek Orthodox Christmas Celebration? Do Greek children have the same difficulty getting to sleep on Christmas Eve as our own British Children. I've only ever been to Skiathos when it is blisteringly hot and it seems that winter never touches the place. I'm curious, what goes on? AND, how does one pronounce Happy Christmas in Greek? Curiously, that phrase is missing from my tiny Greek phrase book.
