Situation:

On the eastern coast of Mount Pelion, some 60 kilometres from Volos, is Agios Ioannis, a marvellous summer resort.

Driving from Volos on good asphalt roads, one passes through forests of chestnut and beech trees and orchards of olives and apples, to arrive at Agios Ioannis.

Situated just 15 paces from the magnificent beach of this village is the Hotel Maro.

Hotel Maro is a 4 story hotel comprising 6 single and 38 double rooms furnished comfortably in local style.

On each story, there is one small suite for 3 people and one, two-room, apartments for 4-5 persons.

All rooms have private bathrooms with hot water, telephone and radio.

There is an ample lobby with 2 lifts, cafeteria, a bar and a restaurant where the buffet breakfast is served.

To reach Hotel Maro, you can drive the 60 kilometres from Volos, over the the mountain of Pelion and experience the wonderful scenery en route.

There are charter flights into the Airport of Nea Anchialos from UK, Holland an Austria and transfers can be arranged by the hotel.

There are also charters from all over Europe flying into Skiathos Airport. From Skiathos, there are hydrofoils going directly every day to Volos.

In the area of Agios Ioannis are three marvellous beaches: Agios Ioannis itself, Plakes and Papa Nero.

Within a short drive are also the beaches of Horefto, Agioi Saranda, Damouchari, Fakistra and Mylopotamos.

The area of Mount Pelion is worth visiting all year round and Hotel Maro provides rooms with heating for stays outside the summer season.
