Withn this area you can find the monasteries of  Theotokoy and Panagias.

Neohori has a wonderful climate, neither too hot in the summer or too cold in the winter.

It has a unique village square built on several levels with the imposing church of Agios Dimitrios at the entrance to the square.

In the surrounding area are to be found many quarries where the thick slate stone which forms the typical roof of Pelion houses is hewed. The quarried stone has many colours and thicknesses, and is used for everything from walls to roofs to floors and creates beautiful buildings.
