Situated in an elevated position above Skiathos town, The Windmill offers fantastic views and relaxing, tranquil setting. Built in 1880, the establishment was actually used as a working mill up until 1946. It was then neglected until the 1990’s when it was eventually turned into the restaurant you see today. The layout of the restaurant is unique in the fact that the tables are set at different levels. This helps to ensure that all guests receive excellent views out over the island. You get to experience 360 degree panoramic views. There is a good range of starters, mains, desserts and drinks on offer and the service is friendly and professional. There are some Greek dishes available, but the majority of the dishes are more Mediterranean orientated. Some of the most popular dishes include the pork fillet, oven baked aubergines, stuffed chicken and lamb shank.
You have a choice of two different sittings at The Windmill. Food is served either at 7pm or at 9.30pm. There is a honeymoon table available for a more intimate, romantic dining experience. However, it is highly recommended that you book in advance. The restaurant is extremely popular and it can get booked up quite early.
